Doctors, Hospitals, and being sick!

I’m so sorry it has been so long since I’ve written a post!  First Happy Baby got sick, then I got sick, then Wifey got sick.  Happy Baby was so sick she stopped eating solids and was throwing up a lot of the breastmilk she ate, usually all over me!  When Happy Baby started getting better, Wifey started coughing, all night long... at first she thought it was just her asthma, we went to the doctor and the doctor said it was just a cold.  Wifey was worse the next day, I called the doctor and they told me to take her to the hospital.  After seven hours in the hospital they told her she had pneumonia and pretty much said she should stay but there were not enough beds.  So instead she did ‘out patient care’ which meant she went in every day for an hour and got IV antibiotics.  A week later and she has been given a clean bill of health, yay!

On Tuesday, while Wifey still had her IV in and hospital bracelet on she had to go in for another ultrasound to see if the cloud was still on Lil Bub’s heart.  The tech was again, not pleasant, snapping at Wifey “why are you walking so slowly?!”  Um, hello?  She is seven months pregnant and has PNEUMONIA!!  Stupid.  Anyways, we went to the doctor today and the ultrasound was perfect!  The cloud is gone, yay!  He is also head down and she is measuring 29 weeks.  Oh, and the pneumonia is gone, double yay!  Wifey is probably going to have to go on maternity leave early though so I’m getting my resume together, fun, fun.

I also had a chance to ask the doctor about my stomach problems.  We came to realize that my old doctor was, well... not that great.  My old doctor told me I had IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) but did no testing to make sure that is all that it is.  My stomach has been so bad lately I can barely eat anything without getting sick in some way, I think my entire digestive system is against me.  So she gave me some research material and made a longer appointment in a couple weeks.  I would LOVE to not feel like I’m crazy anymore when it comes to food and my stomach.  I feel like a hypochondriac when it comes to my digestive system!
